This recipe was given to me by an aunt in Bremerton, Washington. Since my husband does not like the strong flavor from using plenty of molasses, I simply replaced the molasses with corn syrup in the step-by-step list of ingredients. In the opening paragraph of the recipe, I state I actually prefer the molasses version.

The video below and the picture above are made with molasses because I love auntie Bea's original recipe. All the step-by-steps and other ingredients are the same in A Taste of Guam.
