CAKE DECORATING FROSTING AND ICING

 PRINT RECIPE

My mom got me started with the piping bag in my early years. She gave me her original Crisco-cream, not buttercream, recipe. With Guam smack dab in the tropics, buttercream made with real butter simply would not hold up in the heat of the island. However, mom's recipe was difficult to spread easily over the cake so I had to tweak it somewhat. A Taste of Guam has one recipe for piped decorations and one recipe to spread on the cake.

Be sure to watch the videos below for my secrets on decorating a cake. You will LOVE them!
