Chamorita Passions Paula began reading historical romance novels in high school.  Chamorita Passions is a great depiction of Guam's history, life and culture through the trials and triumphs of its main characters Jesi, a native girl, and Johan, a United States Marine.  The story begins around the invasion of Guam by the Japanese during WWII.
